Quick, Cute, Holiday Gift

Looking for a quick holiday gift to give your coworkers, or to bring to your annual girlfriend holiday tea? This cute idea doesn’t cost much to put together and it will wow your friends.

Living in the San Francisco Bay Area, I don’t get to see snow except on TV or on the rare trip to Tahoe. Now I can have a wintery scene around to inspire romantic ideas about sled rides in the snow without actually courting Jack Frost! 1

You will need:
*Small glass bottles or salt and pepper shakers
*One bag of fake snowflakes
*Clear tape
*Holiday miniatures such as deer, lights, trees, and birds.

  1. Unscrew (or uncork) the bottles and make sure the inside is clean and clear. If you are using salt and pepper shakers or something with holes in the top, plug the holes with a small piece of tape so the fake snow won’t shake out if they turn it upside down.2
  2. Fill the bottles half way with fake snowflakes.3
  3. Place 3-4 miniature items in on top of the snow.4
  4. Screw on the top (or cork it) and you are done!6

These little puppies are fun for office desks or just for a dash of holiday spirit in a bottle! When you move them around, they will jostle, but that’s ok. If need be, you can re-position the items, or let them jostle around for a hap-hazard bottle of holiday cheer.

Whoosh! One more gift idea off my list! 🙂
